This 1771-ISC input module by Allen-Bradley is a multiplexer input module from the 1771 series. The input voltage range is 5V DC which is supplied by the module. The device has a single slot with a backplane current supply of 0.8A. This device works on Flex I/O modules which are cost-effective, flexible, and support distributed applications. This device also supports all those functions of larger I/O modules that are rack-based and require no extra or separate placement arrangements. This 1771-ISC module also selects the termination and network which would be appropriate for the specific module. This 1771-ISC needs to be set perfectly in the required mode of operation to match the conditions with which the module will operate. Depending on the kind of switches are connected to it the module selects and operates accordingly. No matter where the module is placed, the device will be automatically programmed after the data transfer. You can select the modes by switching the On/Off switches as required. The typical module scan time for this device is 15.3ms for normal mode and 5.1ms in fast mode. The typical AC signal delay ranges to 45ms (+/-) in off status and the typical DC signal delay ranges to 50ms.
