The Allen-Bradley 1771-LI input module is an analog input module that has been manufactured as part of the PLC 5 series. It features 8 differential inputs that are fully isolated. The 1771-LI analog input module supports a 16-bit binary resolution over the full voltage. Its internal scan rate is 50 milliseconds for all 8 input channels. The 1771-LI analog input module supports input voltage ranges of 1 to 5 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, -5 to 5 Volts DC, and -10 to 10 Volts DC for different applications.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-LI Loop Controller Interface Module is an electrical interface module which allows a programmable logic controller to communicate with a single loop PID controller, and it can communicate with a maximum of 15 loop controllers via an RS-485 serial link. The 1771-LI module draws a 1.2A current from the backplane at 5V DC, and it provides an electronic interface through a multi-drop bus, using the RS-485 serial link, for up to 4000 cable feet. The module has a maximum loop update time of approximately 2 seconds per all 15 maximum loops. The 1771-LI communicates via a half-duplex (one directional) protocol, and when it does, it communicates at a rate of 4,800 Baud. The module is located on the 1771 I/O chassis and occupies only a single slot. Keying is achieved by connecting the module’s top connector between pins 12 and 14 and between pins 16 and 18. The 1771-LI operates at a temperature range between 0 and 60°C (32 and 140°F) at 5-95% non-condensing humidity without de-rating and it is stored at a temperature between -40 and 85°C (-40 and 185°F) when it is not operational.
