The 1771-NBRC PLC-5 High-Resolution Analog Combination Module is an intelligent I/O module by Allen-Bradley with six 1-6503 Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) inputs and two 0-25mA current outputs and it fits into any available slot of the 1771 I/O chassis. It draws a backplane current of 1.7A, and it has a selectable input range between 1 and 650-ohm with a 100-ohm platinum detector (EU and US standard). The 1771-NBRC has a maximum input resolution of 10megaohms/bit at16 bits unipolar, and its input uses the Celsius temperature scale. It offers an open input detection, with a maximum detection time of 5s and an RTD current Excitation of 1mA. It offers an input over-voltage protection of 140V AC (continuous) and it has an output normal rejection mode of 50dB / 60dB with a common rejection mode of 50dB. The 1771-NBRC has an input offset drift of ±25 megaohms per °C with a gain drift of ±50ppm per °C and the output signal is transmitted at a frequency of 9Hz. The 1771-NBRC has a 25ms module update time with an input settling time of 125ms and a maximum accuracy of 0.05%. The module has a non-linearity value of 0.02%. Its input requires 1/649ohms field calibration with a 0.9ohm/650ohms under/over threshold, and a rate alarm value of 325ohms at 550°C. The 1771-NBRC has 2 outputs with an output rating of 0-25mA, a resolution of 3.2µA/bit at 13 bits unipolar, and an impedance greater than 1megaohms. It also offers 140V AC (RMS) over-voltage protection and an OFFSET and GAIN drift of ±1µA/0C and ±50 ppm/0C. The 1771-NBRC also offers voltage isolation between the input channels and the backplane connections with 100% test at 1200V DC for 1 second, and it is designed to function optimally at a designated temperature range of 32-140 oF at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity.
