The Allen Bradley 1771-NIVT is a High-resolution Isolated Analog Module. Where noise immunity and resolution are required, the 1771-NIVT provides an application focus that does not have the need for an external power source. This module is specifically designed for process administration and other demanding applications. With a 16-bit resolution and 1000V isolation between channels, this series complements pre-existing analog modules. Its channel to channel isolation provides the connection of various resources to the same module without creating ground loops or damaging components due to excessive voltage differences between channels. The 1771-NIVT has a calibration interval of one year, and power dissipation of 5.5 Watts of 5 Volts. Its operating temperature ranges from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), with a storage temperature of around -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit); the relative humidity of this module lies between 5% and 95% without condensation, and its maximum Backplane Current is 1.1 A.

The Allen Bradley 1771-NIVT is intended for use in the pollution level Industry Environment 2, in excessive category II applications (as defined in the publication of IEC 60664-1). Place this power supply at an altitude of up to 2000 meters without derating. If the cable is connected or disconnected to the terminal block, or if the power supply is discharged or inserted while power is on, an electrical arc may occur. This could result in explosion, especially during installation in hazardous locations. Take care to remove power in a non-hazardous area before continuing.
