The Allen-Bradley 1771-NT1 is a High-Resolution analog input module with Eight (8) Thermocouple and millivolt inputs channels. This module is compatible for use with Thermocouple sensors B, E, J, K, T, R and S and Resistance signal of +/- 105 mV. This module is ideal for use in Temperature applications with a higher criticality and accuracy requirement.
There is specific limit to the number of installation instance for this module as long the processor memory is capable of handling the generated Integer files of this module.
The 1771-NT1 uses Block Transfer Read (BTR) and Block Transfer Write (BTW) instruction to transfer the module’s local register data to the controller’s memory. Block transfer operation is configured by defining the amount of data to be transferred, the starting register and the length of the register. With this instruction, multiple register block may be transferred at the same time.
This module has a conversion resolution of 16-Bit and occupies a single slot of the 1771 chassis. It does not require an external power supply to operate. This module, being part of the 1771-N series, is not compatible for installation with a PLC-2 controller.
This module supports data scaling to engineering units, self-calibration, selectable high and low alarms, input and open circuit detection, and self-diagnostics. It is provided with a cold junction compensation which is used to enable a more accurate conversion of data. Each channel of this module is configurable for +/- 100mV / Thermocouple signal.
This module is compatible for use in measurement ranges such as -270 to 1000 Deg. Celsius, -210 to 1200 Deg. Celsius, -270 to 1380 Deg. Celsius, -50 to 1780 Deg. Celsius, -270 to 400 Deg. Celsius. The Allen Bradley 1771-NT1 is a High-resolution Isolated Analog Module. Designed for process control and other demanding applications, this Module has 16-bit resolution, providing 1000V isolation between channels. This module dissipates power at 5 Volts of 5 Watts. It has relative humidity of 5% to 95% without condensation. The operating temperature of this module is 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) while storage temperature for this module is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). The unit’s maximum backplane current is 1A, the input range. The Input Impedance of this module is > 10 MOhms while the input overvoltage protection of this module is 140 Volts of AC RMS continuous. The Offset drift of this module is +/-0.50 µV/degree Celsius and the Gain drift of this module is +/-35 ppm/degree Celsius, while the calibration value is 0.000 / 100.000 mV. Its input bandwidth is 9 Hertz. Its maximum update time is 25 milliseconds, and the underrange threshold is -103.0 mV while the overrange threshold stays around +103.0 mV. The 1771-NT1 has normal mode rejection (50/60 Hertz) of 50dB/60dB (minimum), and common mode rejection (60 Hertz) of 150dB (typical). Avoid placing an analog module close to an AC module or high voltage DC module.
