The Allen Bradley 1771-OBDK is a PLC 5 Digital AC Output Module with a conformal coating and a minimal load current of 2.5 mA. Its maximum surge current is 4 A per output for 10 milliseconds, which is repeatable every 2 seconds. It has a maximum on state voltage drop of 1.5 Volts DC and a maximum off state leakage current of .5 mA. With a maximum power dissipation of 15.6 Watts and a maximum thermal dissipation of 53.3 BTU/hour, the 1771-OBDK is intended for use in a pollution level industry Environment 2 in Excessive Category II Applications.

The 1771-OBDK module is a modular component of a 1771 I/O system that requires a properly installed system chassis. Permanent damage to the module can occur in frequent overload or short circuit conditions. To prevent module damage, use an optional 1771-WHF or 1771-WHFB field protection cable instead of the 1771-WH wiring arm that comes with this unit and limit the dissipation of adjacent slot power to 10 Watts maximum.
