This digital DC Output Module, 1771-OBN, by Allen Bradley, is supplied as open-type equipment, not intended for an industrial environment greater than Pollution 2 when applied in a Zone 2 environment; it should only be accessible by using the appliance, as it contains components that are susceptible to damage by electrostatic discharge. Its electrostatic discharge is 4 kV on contact and 8 kV through the air.

The isolation voltage of this unit is around 1500 Volts of AC RMS; it comes with four groups of eight outputs, making a total of thirty-two (32) outputs with an output voltage range between 10 and 30 Volts of DC power; its output current rating is 0.5 A per output, its maximum backplane current is330 mA at 5 Volts of DC, and its isolation voltage has been tested for sixty seconds to withstand up to 500 Volts.

The 1771-OBN unit has a maximum “ON” state voltage drop of 1.5 Volts of DC power at 0.5 A, while its maximum leakage current during its “OFF” state is 1 mA per output. It dissipates about 13.7 Watts maximum and 1.7 Watts minimum of power, and its Thermal dissipation is 46.7 BTU per hour at maximum and 5.7 BTU per hour at its minimum.
