The 1771-OF04 analog output module is part of the 1771 product line of industrial output modules. This output module has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This module comes with 4 individually isolated outputs and it is meant to be located in a chassis. This module has a nominal output voltage range of 1 to 5 Volts DC and an output current of 10 milliamps per channel. Another important characteristic of the module is that it has a digital resolution of 12 bits binary. The Allen-Bradley 1771-OF04 analog output module comes with output overload protection that prevents short circuits in load conditions. The importance of having this kind of protection lies in the fact that it means that each output will have be protected against conditions that might cause damages and reduce the overall life of the module.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-OF04 analog output module comes with an isolation voltage rating of 850 Volts DC for 1 second, this value has been tested, and it also comes with an internal scan rate of 8 milliseconds for all channels by using BCD data and scaling and a scan rate of 1.6 milliseconds with no scaling. The Allen-Bradley 1771-OF04 analog output module can operate without any problems in a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and it can withstand shocks without any interruption of operations for shocks with a force of up to 30 G. This module does not include any type of enclosure ( it is an open style enclosure) and for this reason, the module is intended to operate in an indoor environment only. The output impedance for the module's current outputs is higher than 1.5 megaohms.
