The 1771-OG PLC 5 TTL Output Module by Allen-Bradley is an output module with 8 sinking/sourcing outputs and is located on a slot of the 1771 I/O chassis. It is an output module with an output voltage range of 2-5.25V DC for High = True, and -0.2-0.8V DC for Low = True, and the maximum current on the output is 1mA (source) and 20mA (sink). For transmission of TTL signals, the module requires a separate 5V (+0.25V) DC power supply with a maximum ripple of 50mV peak-to-peak and 250mA current is equally required from the output of the power supply. The outputs have a maximum signal delay time of 1ms and the module dissipates 2.2W maximum heat with 7.5 BTU/hr maximum thermal dissipation when operational. The module draws 168mA maximum backplane current from the I/O chassis and it provides circuit voltage isolation tested at 1500V AC (RMS) for 1 second. The 1771-OG comes with a 1771-WC Field wire arm with a wiring arm screw torque of 7-9 inch-pounds and uses a 14 -gauge stranded maximum wire size with 3/64-inch thick insulated Shielded, Belden 8761 wire as circuit conductors. The module is keyed using the keying band by connecting the keying band between the upper connector of the backplane pins 6 and 8 and between pins 10 and 12. The module’s functional temperature range falls between 0 and 60 0C (32 and 140 0F) around an ambient humidity range of 5-95% without condensation and a non-operational storage temperature of -40-85 0C (-40-185 0F).
