The 1771-P3 PLC 5 Power Supply Module by Allen-Bradley is a single slot 120V AC power module located on 1771 I/O chassis, which provides power to the chassis I/O. The module requires 120V AC at 0.42A input power from an external power source and is designed with a “Soft Start” feature which enhances backplane power supply reliability. Its input voltage ranges between 97V AC to 132V AC (RMS) at 50-60 Hz and requires 23W input power for optimal function. The 1771-P3 provides circuit isolation tested for 1 second at 2160V DC and provides circuit protection through the 1A, 125V AC Slow Blow Fuse, and the Bussman MDL 1.0 glass fuse. The module has 5.06V DC (+-3.8%), an output voltage with an output current of 3A at 5V DC and the module has a maximum heat dissipation of 8W when operational. The 1771-P3 uses a copper wire conductor with a 14 AWG (2.5mm2) wire size and 3/64 inches (1.2mm) thick insulation. It provides user-supplied branch circuit protection at 15A and has a maximum terminal block screw torque of 7 pounds-inches (0.2Nm). The 1771-P3 has an input signal delay time of 13.5ms (-+3.6ms) (power loss), and a 60A recommend transformer is optionally used with it. The module has a designated 0-60 degrees Celsius operating temperature and it must be used at a 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 1771-P3 is keyed to the backplane by connecting the connecting band between pins 12 and 14, and 18 and 20, and the overall module weighs approximately 0.73Kg (1.6lb).
