The Allen-Bradley 1771-P6R has an input voltage rating of 220V AC, 50-60Hz, and 0.5A and it is a part of 1771 Redundant Power Supplies. It has an input voltage range between 194 and 240V AC, a backplane current of 300mA at 5V DC ±5%, and an output voltage of 5V DC, 8A. This can be installed into any module slot in any current I/O chassis (1771-A1B, -A2B, -A3B, -A3B1, -A4B, -PSC). Allocate 2 to 4 adjacent slots in the chassis when using redundant power supplies. The 1771-P6R Redundant Power Supply has two jumpers located at the back of the module near the edge connectors. Setting the jumpers will configure the power supply to support remote or local sensing. On its left side is the set of I.D. selection switches where the unique identification number required in a redundant system is assigned. The parallel connectors allow 3 or 4 supplies to be daisy-chained to build a redundant system. The 1771-P6R Power Supply Module ships with one redundant cable, and two terminal blocks attached to the module –one 3-position and one 5-position. It has two indicators on the front panel. The top yellow indicator with the NO- REDUNDANT label tells if the number of operating supplies does not meet the required number for a redundant operation. The lower green labeled P/S ACTIVE detects if the module is working normally or if there is any operating problem.
