|

The Allen-Bradley 1771-P6S1 module is a PLC 5 series power supply module. This power supply module is open-type equipment which does not come with an enclosure but which can be installed in an enclosure for protection and which should be installed in an enclosure if it is used in hazardous industrial environments. The 1771-P6S1 power supply module can be used in a hazardous environment that is rated as a Pollution Degree 2 environment if it is properly protected. This power supply comes with a 5-position terminal block. The 1771-P6S1 power supply module can use a paralleling cable to connect to another power supply module in the same I/O chassis in order to provide more current.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-P6S1 is an auxiliary power supply module with an input range of 170 - 240V AC RMS and frequency of 47 - 63 Hz. It comes with a 1.5A 250V slow-blow fuse and ships with an attached 5-position terminal block. This AC-rated module operates on 220-240V AC input, with a maximum output current of 8A at 5V DC backplane output voltage. The 1771-P6S1 is part of the 1771 Power Supplies series for PLC-5 Programmable Controllers or 1771 Control Systems. The 1771-P6S1 Auxiliary Power Supply occupies 1 slot in the I/O chassis side plate. It can be installed as a single unit or in parallel with another power supply when more power is required.  A Power-Supply Paralleling Cable with the category number 1771-CT connects the two supplies using the P/S PARALLEL connectors and this allows communication between them. To avoid picking up signals activated by I/O wiring, loop the paralleling cable over the chassis. The supplies in parallel should be turned on simultaneously. If not, the module powered first may shut down due to an overcurrent condition. Located on the back of the 1771-P6S1 Module is a pair of jumpers. The jumper selection provides proper regulation of voltage for different device configurations. Through these jumpers, this power supply can support both local and remote sensing.
