The 1771-PSC chassis is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLC 5 series power supply chassis. It comes with 4 slots for hosting power supplies and other kinds of modules. The 1771-PSC power supply chassis is a standalone chassis, but it can also connect to an Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1771 I/O chassis with an Allen-Bradley 1771-PSCC 5.5-foot cable. This power supply chassis can also supply exactly 24 Amps of extra current to a Bulletin 1771 I/O chassis. Never use the 1771-PSC power supply chassis to supply more or less than 24 Amps of current to another chassis because this may damage the other chassis.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-PSC is a power supply chassis. It has a slot for installing power supplies and other modules. It connects power for other devices through cables to the I/O chassis. The 1771-PSC has a backplane mounting and it comes with dimensions of 311 x 203 x 180 mm and it weighs 1.9 kg approximately. Its maximum backplane current is 20 amps at 140 °C and 24 amps at 131 °C. It has a 32 - 140°F operating temperature and a storage temperature of -40 - 185 °F with a 5 - 95% non-condensing relative humidity. The 1771-PSC offers 4 slots for mounting modular power supplies. This provides 24 amps for the 1771 universal I/O chassis. Most of the communication modules need +5V DC power and a processor-enabled signal. The 1771-PSC supports a mounting location for these modules. You can use it to supply extra current to a 1771 I/O chassis and this current should not exceed or be less than 24 amps. A more or a less powerful current may result in permanent damage to the backplane chassis.
