The indoor-rated 1771-PT2 duplex fiber optic cable by Allen-Bradley is 75 meters or 246 feet in length with a 10-cm core diameter and a 14-cm cladding diameter. It has 2 fibers with SMA-905 Screw-Type termination connections. Its bandwidth is 100 KHz-Km and it has a 5 dB/Km attenuation at 850 nm. The jacket material is PVC and it has a 0.29 numerical aperture. The 1771-PT2 has a tight buffer cable configuration. It weighs 26.5 Kg/Km and has a 4 x 7 mm outside cable diameter. The installation tensile load is 1000 N and the 1771-PT2 has a 300 N nominal tensile load. Without a load, the minimum bend radius is 3 centimeters. Its crush resistance is 220 N/Cm and it has a 2.5 N/M impact resistance. The 1771-PT2’s operating temperature is -20-70°C and it has a -40-80° C storage temperature. The flex and twist resistance at a 5-cm radius is 2000 cycles. It is possible to connect two fiber-optics together at most by using the 2-splice connector for each duplex fiber optic splice. Used to coordinate a fiber optic converter with a complete fiber optic link. Be sure to calculate the dB loss by adding up the losses of both cable terminations. These connectors increase the fiber optic link's dB losses. When routing the 1771-PT2 fiber cable, route it the same way as the conventional wiring. The electromagnetic signal emitted by this cable does not affect the fiber cables because it is non-conductive and dielectric. A minimum length of six feet is necessary to be secure for the cables on long vertical runs. A rubber or a plastic material should be used in constructing clamp bushings. When installing underground, the underground-rated 1771-PT2 cable should be placed in a PVC conduit. When the installation is hanging, follow the manufacturer's guidelines. Secure an aerial-rated cable that can support its weight. Make extra weight allowance for any external factors like snow, wind, or ice.
