1771-QI

|

The 1771-QI module is a co-injection module that is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation in the PLC 5 series. This co-injection module is equipped with 4 analog outputs and with 4 analog inputs. The 1771-QI co-injection module supports an I/O isolation voltage rating of 1500 Volts RMS between the input terminals and output terminals and between the chassis and the swingarm terminals. At 25 degrees Celsius, this co-injection module supports 0.1% accuracy. The 1771-QI co-injection module can be used alongside another 1771-QI co-injection module to control the 2 plastic injection heads in a plastic-molding machine.

The Allen Bradley Plastic Molding Module 1771-QI has 4 analog inputs and 4 analog outputs, and a 12-bit binary I/O resolution. The I/O Isolation of this module is 1500 Volts RMS between chassis and swingarm terminals, and between input and output terminals.

Its I/O Accuracy is 0.1% full scale at 25 degrees Celsius, and 50 ppm/degree Celsius of full-scale range. Operating at temperatures between -25 and 60 degree Celsius (-13 to 140 degree Fahrenheit), it remains between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) while in a nonoperative state. It will also hold a relative humidity between 5% and 95% without condensation.

The Thermal dissipation of this module is 21 BTU/hour (outputs full ON); its wiring arm corresponds to the part number 1771- WF and its operating frequency range is from 47 to 63 Hertz.

A pair of 1771-QI Modules can control the injection phase of a plastic molding machine with each of the two heads of injections, each module usually controlling one of two injection heads. The 1771-QI module can be placed in any single I/O slot in the 1771 chassis; it automatically compensates for variations of hydraulic characteristics on the printing press without user intervention with the Allen-Bradley Response Expert Compensation feature. Additionally, it will carry out open or closed controls on injection molding machines and can be adjusted to most hydraulic configurations. In connection with two 1771-QI modules that control co-injection, a 1771-QDC module can be used to control clamping and ejection.
