The 1771-RTP1 PLC 5 Remote Termination Panel and Cable by Allen Bradley contains a Cold Junction Compensation for Thermocouple Input feature; it can be used for Voltage inputs when accompanied by a resistor, and additionally contains eight analog inputs and eight analog outputs.

This part follows several particular EMC standards, namely EN 50081-2 EMC - Generic Emission Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment and EN 50082-2 EMC – Generic Immunity Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment.

An electric arc can occur if cables are being connected or disconnected while power is being applied to the module or to any device on the network. To avoid this, cut all power on the network before proceeding.

The 1771-RTP1 unit has a number of agency certifications, including Groups A, B, C, D (UL 1604, C-UL under CSA C22.2 no. 213) and UL 508,  C-UL under CSA C22.2 no. 142, Class I, Div. 2.

With an ED immunity of 6 kV on contact and 8 kV through the air, this unit can operate at temperatures as high as 140 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 32, and can be stored anywhere in the temperature range of -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit and up to 95% humidity without condensing. It weighs around 0.6 pounds (0.3 kilograms) with a size of  4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches (115 x 317 x 160 millimeters).
