The 1771-WHF field wiring arm has been designed as part of the PLC 5 series of controllers and control system components by Allen-Bradley. It is similar to the standard Allen-Bradley 1771-WH field wiring arm, but it includes a fuse. The 1771-WHF fused field wiring arm can be used with the Allen-Bradley 1771-OAD output module just like the 1771-WH field wiring arm, and it can provide fuses for all of the output circuits. This fused field wiring arm is designed to be attached to the pivot bar on the bottom of the I/O chassis that hosts the output module it is working with. As a result of this mounting position, the 1771-WHF fused field wiring arm can pivot upward to connect to the module, and the module can be connected or disconnected without disconnecting all the wires first.

The Allen-Bradley 1771-WHF is a PLC-5 fused wiring arm used with I/O modules. Twenty-one terminals that are tin contact-plated and 16 I/O points are present with this wiring arm. It has a maximum fuse size of 3 A and a conformal coating and it uses a thermoplastic material. Note that you do not need an external power source for this wiring arm. Applications compatible with it are those have a general purpose and also those that require individual circuit protection and a fused wiring arm. It also offers fuse protection without the need to remove a module from the chassis and it helps in ensuring connection integrity. The 1771-WHF wiring arm also has the capacity to provide general plant wiring and Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O modules with easy and flexible interconnections.
