The 1772-DQ module is a line/driver receiver/chassis and spare part that has been designed, manufactured, and distributed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This spare part belongs to the 1772 Mini-PLC product line of programmable controllers. This part is intended to extend the distance over which the controller can communicate through connections that are up to 5,000 cable feet apart. It comes with the mounting rack for the line driver module, including its power source. Through the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1772-DQ line/driver receiver/chassis, the controller can be connected to different devices, including monitors and other modules. There are two ways of installing the line/driver receiver/chassis module and the other modules, and these are the dual full-duplex and single full-duplex methods.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1772-DQ line/driver receiver/chassis requires an input voltage of 120 or 220 to 240 Volts AC, an input current of 0.5 to 1 Amp, and both a fused and an output voltage of +/- 5 to 15 Volts DC. The use of noise suppressors is also recommended. If the ambient air temperature exceeds the recommended temperature, the use of fans and air conditioners is recommended. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1772-DQ line/driver receiver/chassis that comes with backplane connectors and it also has a characteristic keying band placement. Other parts of the chassis are a switch group assembly and a power supply socket. The chassis does not include any enclosure it is recommended to cover both the chassis and the attached module with a rated enclosure depending on the environment where both are meant to be installed. The recommended temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to install cooling equipment if the recommended temperature is exceeded.
