The Allen-Bradley 1772-LN2 is a mini-PLC-2 programmable controller with a 32 I/O capacity. Forty terminals are available with this controller. It has a voltage range of 10-32V DC, which is digital and does not require an external power source. It also comes with a typical signal delay of 29 +/- 8 ms for AC and 30 ms +/- 7 for DC. The 1772-LN2 It is a conformally-coated controller that uses a 1771-WN wiring arm. The entire controller measures 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches and weighs 0.1 kg or 0.3 lbs. The 1772-LN2 has a memory size of 1024 words that are organized by word addresses and divided into three major areas, namely user program, data table, and if used, message storage. The 1772-LN2 controller also comes with a Read/Write CMOS memory where user program instructions, I/O device status, and numeric values are stored. The 1772-LN2 can be used for various industrial applications, including measurement and gauging, process control, pollution control, and monitoring, material handling, and palletizing. When using for program operations, this controller monitors the status of devices continuously and can also energize or de-energize output devices based on the user program instructions. This controller can also do functions like arithmetic operations (addition and subtraction), timing/counting operations, I/O forcing, data highway, and RS-232-C interfacing, and data comparisons.
