1772-LS

The 1772-LS processor module is an industrial mini PLC-2/05 processor that is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has 3K words of CMOS RAM capacity, 488 timers, data tables with a 2944-word memory capacity, and the capacity for up to 16 I/O modules. The processor module also has 3 diagnostic indicators, 3 operating mode selections, a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius operating temperature range, and a weight of 2.24 pounds. It features a memory store switch that can be used to back up or copy the program into the optional EEPROM module if an EEPROM is connected to it. It also has an interface socket to provide communication between the processor and the programming terminal. The 1772-LS Mini PLC-2/05 processor has data highway compatibility and expanded math capability. It provides 198-message storage capacity with the PLC-2 family report generation module.

The Allen-Bradley 1772-LS processor module also offers remote mode selection facilities, on-line programming, and block transfer capability. There is a 15-pin socket that is labeled as the INTFC socket to provide communication between the processor and the Allen-Bradley 1770-RG report generation module as well as the Allen-Bradley 1771-KA communication interface module. The optional EEPROM module provides 3K words of non-volatile data backup. The processor status indicator provides information about the processor’s operating conditions. This indication system helps to diagnose a fault quickly when troubleshooting the system. The 1772-LS Mini PLC-2/05 processor stores all I/O device status data in a central read/write memory. This unit is the central processing unit as well as the memory of the programmable controller. The industrial terminal system is used to enter, monitor, edit, and troubleshoot the user program in the memory of the processor. This module can be used for industrial applications.
