The Allen-Bradley 1772-LV is a Mini-PLC-2/15 processor. It has a 2K-word memory dedicated to messages, user program, and data table and it comes with a 3K-word CMOS RAM. This processor has the capacity to monitor and control up to 128 I/O devices wired to I/O modules in the I/O chassis. It has a digital voltage range of 10-32V DC and typical signal delays of 30 +/- 7 ms for DC and 29 +/- 8 ms for AC. These signal delays are applicable when the processor is in an off-state.

Three status indicators are present with this module for the memory, processor, and run statuses. It also comes with an EPROM access door, mode select switch, and an interface port. The 1772-LV processor has a 15-pin interface port and tin contact plating and it uses a 1771-WN wiring arm. It is a conformally-coated processor that measures 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches and weighs 0.1 kg or 0.3 lbs.

When the programmed EPROM is placed in the 1772-LV processor, the memory protection feature of the processor will be active. This processor is compatible with devices such as float, limit, selector, thumbwheel, pushbutton, and pressor switches, transducers, solenoids, alarms, annunciators, and indicators panels, different solid-state devices like TTL and analog instrumentation, and motors and motor starters.
