The 1784-KTXD communication card is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLC 5 series NetLinx communication card. It is a 2-channel type of communication card. The 1784-KTXD 2-channel communication card supports the DH+ and DH-485 networks. This card can also be used as a remote I/O scanner device in some applications. The 1784-KTXD 2-channel communication card can tolerate 5 to 95% relative humidity levels without condensation in both operation and storage.

The Allen-Bradley 1784-KTXD card is a communication card from NetLinx. The 1784-KTXD card has two channels and it can act as a node for the DH+ or DH-485 networks. However the 1784-KTXD card can act as node for DH-485 networks only on channel 1. The 1784-KTXD card can also act as a remote I/O scanner. The card is compatible with a 16-bit EISA/ISA card expansion slot. However, the card is not compatible with 8-bit slots.

The 1784-KTXD card communicates with nodes on DH networks, including PLC-3 / PLC-2 nodes on DH+ networks that also include the PLC-5 and SLC 5/04 processor nodes and the SLC 5/03, SLC 5/02, and SLC 5/01 processors. The 1784-KTXD card can also communicate with SLC processors on the DH-485 network. As the 1784-KTXD card is a dual-channel card that has 2 base memory addresses that need to be configured before it can be installed. The interrupt setting of the card also needs to be set prior to installation. The operating shock rating for the 1784-KTXD card is 30 G for 11 seconds and the non-operational shock rating is 50 G for 11 milliseconds. The operational and non-operational temperature ranges for the card are from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, respectively. The non-condensing relative humidity around the card should be between 5 and 95%.
