The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1785-CH0RAPM1 paging modem is a PLC 5 series single remote access paging modem. Up to 4 of these paging modems can be installed in the same PLC 5 computer or machine system. The 1785-CH0RAPM1 single remote access paging modem can be used to access the PLC 5 computer or machine system remotely to collect system data and to check its operating status. It also makes it possible for the PLC 5 system to send alarms and messages to cell phones and pagers. The 1785-CH0RAPM1 single remote access paging modem requires 0.6 Amps of backplane current at 5 Volts DC.

The Allen-Bradley 1785-CH0RAPM1 Remote Access Paging Modem is part of the PLC 5 series. It allows a single user to remotely access the PLC 5 to collect data and check the system’s status.

The 1785-CH0RAPM1 modem also allows the PLC to send alarms and system status messages to cell phones and pagers. Over 250 alarms with user-defined text messages can be sent to keep plant managers updated regarding production and to notify them of problems. The 1785-CH0RAPM1’s other features include customizable text messages, support for up to 16 pages, text messages that are up to 100 characters long, alarms, and system diagnostic pages.

A maximum of four 1785-CH0RAMP1 modems can be supported by each system. The modem weighs 0.3 pounds. Its power requirement is 0.6 A at 5V DC. The modem provides 2 DH+ / RIO (Data Highway Plus / Remote Input Output) interfaces and 1 status LED per communication channel.

The 1785-CH0RAPM1 has a conformal coating and does not need an external power source. You can wire the modem with the Allen-Bradley 1771-WN wiring arm. The 1785-CH0RAPM1 modem weighs 0.3 lbs. and its shipping dimensions are 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches.
