The 2201/ 01-02 vibration monitor is a vibration monitor from Bently Nevada/General Electric. For the monitor to function as required, it needs to be mounted with the proper procedures. For example, when the proper grounding procedures are followed, the 2201/ 01-02 vibration monitor is guarded against the effects of lightning, switching transients, static electricity, and electrical fast transients. This vibration monitor belongs to the Bently Nevada 2201 monitoring system series. Note that this system is designed and manufactured by Bently Nevada/General Electric and Allen-Bradley, a leader in manufacturing industrial automation systems. The Bently Nevada 2201/ 01-02 vibration monitor, like other monitoring systems in the 2201 family, supports a programmable logic controller from Allen-Bradley known as a PLC-5 controller. Note that the controller helps to combine the plant process data with the vibration monitoring information. This efficient system requires fewer parts. Additionally, there is a centralized configuration management and a shared interface with plant supervisory systems.

The 2201 monitoring system integrates vibration monitoring signals immediately while retaining the level of machinery monitoring that is offered by other Bently Nevada systems such as the 3300 systems. The 2201/ 01-02 vibration monitor combined with a PLC-5 controller helps to interface devices such as operator panels, workstations, terminals, plant management systems, displays, and machine operating devices in order to concurrently access the vibration data and plant operating information. The Bently Nevada/General Electric 2201/ 01-02 vibration monitor features light-emitting diodes (LEDs) which assist in monitoring whether the vibration monitor is functioning properly and whether the communication link is active and properly functioning. The monitor is designed to be operated in an environment with an ambient relative humidity of between 5 and 95% without condensation.
