The MVI71-GEC module is a ProSoft Technologies Generic ASCII Ethernet communication module that is classified under the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation series of programmable logic controllers. The MVI71-GEC module has been designed for allowing the PLC processors to interface easily with the ASCII devices through the use of the supported TCP/IP protocol. The module comes with 5 servers and clients, allowing the unit to deliver the reception and transmission of data between the attached devices and the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation processor. The MVI71-GEC module is recognized as an input/output module with access to the processor and module. The MVI71-GEC module comes with the ladder logic protocol that delivers a data transfer between the module and the processor and it supports the sample ladder file.
