MVI71-MNET

The MVI71-MNET is manufactured by Prosoft Technology that is compatible for use with Allen-Bradley’s PLC series. This module is specifically a Modbus TCP I/P interface module that supports Block Transfer read (BTR) and Block Transfer Write (BTW) for implementing explicit Modbus messaging. This module comes with an Ethernet application port that supports 10/100 Mbps and a configuration port that is compatible with the RS232 electrical standard used for module configuration. The MVI71-MNET is compatible with Modicon controllers, PLC5/E rev C/N, D/E, E/D, SLC5/05 series A, OS503 frn4, 1785-ENET Series A, rev D, Interchange V6.2, MicroLogix 1100/1400/ANY via 1761-NET-ENI, CompactLogix 1768-L43/L45 via 1768-ENBT, CompactLogix 1769-L32E/L35E/ANY, CompactLogix L23E, RSLinx Gateway V1.7+, and ControlLogix 1756-ENET/ENBT/EN2T/EN2TR. This module includes a powerful Modbus network analyzer and supports special Modbus functions such as command control, event commands, status, etc. It supports up to Five (5) independent server connections on port 502 and the same feature on port 2000. The user data memory of this module stores error codes, network error counters, and port status, which can be mapped and analyzed to determine the health and performance of the network. The MVI71-MNET can be installed in a remote or local rack. It is a single slot module that is installed at any available slot of the 1771chassis. It has a minimum response delay of 0 - 65535 msec; a response timeout of 1 - 65535 msec and a configurable retry count of 0-20. It allows command control from ladder logic and permits pass-through configuration. This module has a tertiary port that is capable of emulating channel 0 of the PLC.

The MVI71-MNET module features a configurable parameter for the client, including a minimum response delay of 0 to 65535 milliseconds. For service port 502, the unit supports 10 independent server connections. The entire data mapping process begins with the Modbus register 40001. The MVI71-MNET module records error codes, network error counters, and the port status data in the included user data memory.
