The Allen-Bradley 1734-IR2E is a POINT analog temperature input module**.** It comes with 2 single-ended, non-isolated high-resolution RTDs. Users can monitor the network status, module status, and status of the inputs in real time through the indicators. It can produce up to 6 bytes of fault status data and input data without consuming any I/O data. It has a 16-bit resolution at 2.4 milliohms/cnt and 0.006 degrees Celsius/cnt. The 1734-IR2E module comes with an open-type enclosure and can be mounted on a DIN rail to a 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, or a 1734-TOPS terminal base unit. Note that users can only use 22 to 14 AWG shielded thermocouple wire with this module. The entire 1734**-**IR2E measures 2.97 x 0.47 x 2.21 inches and weighs around 0.036 kilograms or 0.08 pounds.

No external DC power supply is needed for the 1734-IR2E module. It comes with an accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 degrees Celsius and an accuracy drift with the temperature of 30 ppm/degree Celsius, but these only apply to ohm input. The module also has alarms for over-range, under-range, low level, high level, and open wire conditions. Users can select from 1 of the 4 predefined temperature scales (Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and Rankine) or one custom scale (mV). The module also has a common mode rejection ratio of 120 dB and a normal mode rejection ratio of 100 dB. The 1734-IR2I has an input range of 0 to 220 ohms and a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC. It also has a 0 to 220 ohms resistance, a 6 to 60 milliseconds input step response, and a power dissipation of 1 Watts.
