About 1734-IV4

The Allen-Bradley 1734-IV4 is a POINT digital DC sourcing input module. It comes with 4 input points and 4 yellow status indicators, 1 red/green module status indicator and 1 red/green network status indicator, all of which are on the logic side of the module. It has an open-type enclosure and can be mounted using a DIN rail. The 1734-IV4’s compact size of 0.47 x 2.21 x 2.97 inches allows it to be mounted horizontally or vertically in limited spaces. Terminal base units compatible with the 1734-IV4 module are the 1734-TBS, 1734-TB. Recommended wire size for terminating input signals to the module are 22 to 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire. The 1734-IV4 module. Supports removal or insertion under power (RIUP) which means that even when the entire system is running, users can safely remove or insert the module without disrupting the entire system.

The 1734-IV4 generates 1 Byte of data. Wherein, half of the 1 Byte register is occupied by Channels 0, 1, 2 and 3, starting from bit 0, while the remaining bits are unoccupied specifically, bit 4, 5, 6 and 7.

This module also has an adjustable filter time that is configurable via the programming software. Filter time are useful with known fluctuations to eliminate false triggering on both the positive and negative sides. Configurable filter times include 0.5 hardware plus 0...63 ms that is user selectable.
