The Allen-Bradley 1734D-IB8XOW8 is a POINT I/O module that features comprehensive configuration and diagnostics features which allow the product to be applied to any automation system and reduce the cost of engineering through its standardizations. The 1734D-IB8XOW8 is perfect for applications for the successful system, control design, and flexibility. The 1734D-IB8XOW8 POINT I/O can be used for local control panels and remote device panels and accessibility is possible from several locations including the internet. The 1734D-IB8XOW8 POINT I/O module is a DIN-rail-mounted product that comes with onboard communication options through I/O points, a POINTBus expansion port, and removable terminations. The POINT I/O 1734D-IB8XOW8 module comes with 4 major components. It provides the system-interface and field interface circuity, the terminal base unit provides backplane system power, and field-side connection signal termination and wiring. One of the key components of the 1734D-IB8XOW8 is that it provides flexibility to incorporate a diversity of signal types and the POINT I/O system expandability. The 1734D-IB8XOW8 has a 8 DC Input/8 Relay Module. It has 8.2 Watts of power consumption and 2 Watts of power dissipation with a supply voltage of 24V DC. This 1734D-IB8XOW8 POINT I/O DC 8 Input/ 8 Relay Module has communication rates of 125, 250, or 500 kilobytes/second. The 1734D-IB8XOW8 offers 1-8 points per module. This 1734D-IB8XOW8 module is consolidated to a network through a communication interface that comes with a built-in power supply that converts the incoming 24V DC power to a 5V DC backplane power.

This PointBlock I/O is also provided with a DeviceNet communication interface that supports different communicate depending on the length of the DeviceNet cable. Specifically, supported transmission rates are 125 Kbps at DeviceNet cable length of 500 m, max; 250 Kbps at 250 m, max and 500 Kbps at 100 m, max. DeviceNet termination assignments are 1 - Black Wire-V; 2 - Blue WireCAN Low; 3 - Bare WireDrain; 4 - White WireCAN High and 5 - Red Wire+V.

The 1734D PointBlock I/O provides a maximum POINTBus Current output of 1 Ampere at 5VDC output. It has a DeviceNet current of 95 mA max for POINTBlock, power dissipation of 2.0 W max @ 24V dc and Power consumption of 8.2 W max @ 24V dc.

The module’s input channels has a minimum On-state voltage of 10VDC and maximum of 28.8 VDC with nominal value of 24VDC. Each input channels exhibit a delay time for OFF to ON transition of 0.5 ms hardware + (0…65 ms selectable) and ON to OFF transition of 0.5 ms hardware + (0…65 ms selectable).

The output channels are Form A, normally open, Single Pole, Single Throw (SPST) contacts with switching frequency of 1 operation/3 s at rated load and bounce time of 1.2 ms and expected contact life of 300 Kcycles for resistive load and 100 Kcycles when used with inductive loads.
