The Allen-Bradley 1404-M405B-CNT module can manage up to 64 Class 1 connections that are running simultaneously. The PowerMonitor module offers support to different types of ControlLogix messages such as PLC-5 and CIP Generic messages.

The Allen-Bradley 1404-M405B-CNT module provides support to either single media applications or redundant media applications. It is tested and approved by the ControlNet International standards, EtherNet/IP Conformance Testing, CUL, and UL 508 List standards. It allows for scheduled messaging and it has readable/writable power monitor data that is available through unscheduled connections that are either UCMM or Class 3 connections. The Allen-Bradley 1404-M405B-CNT PowerMonitor module has a dual-port setup that permits the concurrent operation of the ports which are the native RS-485 port and a ControlNet port. Before connecting the ControlNet network to a PowerMonitor module, ensure that the communication parameter is configured. The only parameter that needs to be set up is the ControlNet node parameter, which is also known as the MAC ID with a range of settings from 1 to 99 and 99 is the default setting. The module requires an operating temperature range between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius (32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit), a storage temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit), and a noncondensing humidity range from 5 to 95%.
