The Allen-Bradley 1404-M505A-000 module is a PowerMonitor 3000 series module that only has an RS-485 port for communication and connection. To use the communication properly to its maximum potential, make sure that its maximum cable length is 1219 meters and that the cable type is 2-wire shielded cable. It has a 32-node and multi-drop capability (in a half-duplex configuration), communication rates of 57,600 Kbps, 38,400 Kbps, 19,200 Kbps, 9600 Kbps, 4800 Kbps, 2400 Kbps, and 1200 Kbps, a 100 milliseconds minimum update rate, and all data access to the read/write data table. In the full-duplex protocol, the communication port serves as a responder from one place to another without making a change or a stop. Ensure that triggered messages do not occur at a rate of more than one message concurrently.

The Allen-Bradley 1404-M505A-000 module has an operating temperature range of -20 to 60 degrees Celsius or -40 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, a storage temperature range of -40 t0 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit), and a noncondensing humidity range of 5 to 95%.
