The Allen-Bradley 2705-K12C3 RediPanel Module is an industrial keypad operator module that can be connected directly to the Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) devices via a remote I/O link for the input and retrieval of PLC data. The 2705-K12C3 Module combines membrane switches, remote I/O connectivity, LED indicators, numeric and function keypads, and a VFD screen into one compact unit that not only serves as a sophisticated replacement for older thumbwheel devices but can act as a remote I/O rack too. The 2705-K12C3 Module comes with an integral 120 to 240 Volts AC power supply with operating voltage ranges of 90 to 132 Volts AC (at 47 to 63 Hertz) and 180 to 265 Volts AC (also at 47 to 63 Hertz). The 2705-K12C3 Module has a maximum current rating of 125 milliAmps at 125 Volts AC and a total output power of 15 Volt-Amps (VA).

The 2705-K12C3 Module comes with a 1-line by 16-character VFD screen that allows the operators to display numeric and text messages that can serve as operator prompts, alarms, or machine/process status updates. This module also has a numeric keypad with 6 functional keys and LED indicators which allow the operators to set parameters and monitor application processes. The 2705-K12C3 Module communicates with the Allen-Bradley PLC family via a Remote I/O Serial Data Link by using the 1771, 1772, and 1775 Scanner modules. It has adjustable baud rates (230.4K baud at 2500 feet, 115.2K baud at 5000 feet, or 57.6K baud at 10,000 feet), and a maximum of 16 modules can be installed along with the I/O link. The 2705-K12C3 Module comes with onboard message storage and it supports Binary, BCD, and integer data types. The 2705-K12C3 Module has a NEMA 4X enclosure construction, and it has an operating ambient temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
