The Allen-Bradley 2705-P21J1 RediPanel Pushbutton Unit is a factory-customized pushbutton I/O terminal. It is part of the 800 Amps RediPanel Custom Units product line which is designed for the easy configuration and installation of pushbutton application devices. This terminal can communicate easily with the Allen-Bradley PLC controllers for the control monitoring of light industrial or instrumental-grade applications. The 2705-P21J1 Terminal is designed for use in Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D rated hazardous applications, with a protection rating of NEMA 13 (IP 65) industrial protection rating. The 2705-P21J1 Terminal comes with a built-in diagnostics function for enhanced performance, and it also comes with diagnostics LED indicators which indicate fault conditions. The 2705-P21J1 power supply requirement is 120 to 240 Volts AC power source with an acceptable input voltage range of 90 to 264 Volts AC (at 47 to 63 Hertz line input frequency) and a maximum current rating of 260 milliAmps. It has a modular design with 16 illuminated push-buttons including 6 red, 6 green, and 4 amber. A standard has an embedded 3-pin phoenix connector that supports Remote I/O communication that uses 1770-CD or Belden 9463 I/O RIO cable. The 2705-P21J1 Terminal is designed to directly communicate with the Allen-Bradley PLC controllers via a Remote datalink using any of the Allen-Bradley 1747, 1772, 1771, 1775, and 5250-RS scanner modules. This module offers operators adjustable baud rates which can be configured by using a DIP switch over a maximum cable distance of 10,000 feet. This module has an operating ambient temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

The 2705-P21J1 is a standard device that is powered by a nominal input voltage supply of 120/24-VAC, with applicable voltage range of 85-264VAC, 50/60 Hz. This pushbutton panel has Sixteen (16) Lighted pushbuttons that consists of Six (6) Green, Six (6) Red and Four (4) Amber buttons.

This pushbutton device may be directly linked to Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) via communication link, specifically Remote I/O protocol. It may be used with PLC-2/05, -2/15, -2/16, -2/17, PLC-5/12, SLC-5/02, –5/03, LC-2/30, PLC-3, PLC-3/10, PLC-5/15, -5/25, -5/30 -5/40, -5/60, -5/80, and PLC-5/250. It acts as an input and output device and supports 57.6K, 115.2K, and 230.4K baud rate. This remote I/O link may be wired using the 1770-CD or Belden 9463 standard cable for Remote I/O protocol.
