The 931N-C161 analog signal converter is a 931 Nano Series signal conditioner made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It comes with low power consumption, extensive global certifications, and one feed option which powers up to 75 devices. Isolation, signal conversion, and signal splitting are some of the most common functions of these signal conditioners. Its design allows for voltage and current monitoring in a compact housing and it has removable terminals with error-proof keys. Linear resistors, motors, and sensors are the common measurement instruments that can be interfaced with this signal conditioning device. The 931N-C161 analog signal converter is UL/CSA, ATEX, IECEx, and KC certified to provide the required safety for the personnel and equipment.

The 931N-C161 analog signal converter comes with 2-way galvanic isolation and it eliminates ground loops and noises to provide a reliable and efficient signal. It is powered by the output loop circuit. This NAMUR NE43 and NE21-compliant signal conditioner provide accurate measurements even in harsh EMC conditions. Its operating temperature is between -25 and 70 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity rating is 95% maximum without condensation. The 931N-C161 analog signal converter transmits accurate process measurements between the field devices and the control system while improving the signal quality. It galvanically isolates and reproduces the signal via a transformer coupling principle. It also transmits the sensor signal via a standard interface. The interface can be analog or digital. This cost-effective method of transmission provides process efficiency in the automation environment. Some of the applications of this signal conditioner are steel production, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing applications. It can be used in control engineering applications during the signal conditioning stage.
