The Allen-Bradley 931N-X422 bipolar signal splitter is a type of signal conditioner that is used in applications where a bipolar single channel input signal needs to be delivered to 2 different destinations by using 2 output channels that will deliver 2 unipolar signals of equivalent value. The Allen-Bradley 931N-X422 bipolar signal conditioner can receive -23 to +23 milliamps rated current inputs or -11.5 to +11.5 Volts rated voltage inputs. Both unipolar output signals are user-configurable and they can be assigned to transmit via analog current or voltage signals. The current outputs range between 0 and 23 millamps, the voltage output is between 0 and 10 Volts DC. The Allen-Bradley 931N-X422 bipolar signal splitter is provided with galvanic isolation by using a 4-way isolator that keeps the single-channel output electrically separated from the 2-channel outputs and the power source terminals. The isolation voltage of the device is 2.5 kilovolts eff/1 minute.



 



The Allen-Bradley 931N-X422 bipolar signal splitter uses a supply voltage of 24 Volts DC ± 30% and it has a power consumption of 0.84 Watts typical and 1.2 Watts maximum. The permissible load for use with the current output should be ≤ 300 Ohms per channel and the permissible load for use with the voltage output should be ≥ 10 kiloohms.
