The Allen-Bradley 1783-US6T2F is a Stratix 2000 multi-mode Ethernet Unmanaged Switch. Eight ports are present in this switch, particularly 6 RJ45 10/100 copper ports and 2 port fiber multimode SFP slots. It also has yellow and green status indicators with a blink rate of 105 ms that indicate the current states of the power supply, the port speed, and the network connection and activity. This switch uses packet-based thresholds and has a broadcast storm threshold of 20 packets per second (pps) for 10 Mbps per port and one of 200 pps for 100 Mbps per port. Note that this switch’s Ethernet data rate is 10-100 Mbps. For a ground connection, the required wire is a 14 AWG copper wire that is suitable for 180 ËšF above the surrounding ambient temperature outside the enclosure and with a suitable ring terminal. When using a DC power connection, the wire should be an 18 to 14 AWG twisted-pair copper wire that is also suitable for 180 ËšF above the surrounding ambient temperature outside the enclosure. The entire 1783-US6T2F switch measures 4.19 x 2.11 x 5.31 inches and makes use of an open-style enclosure.
The 1783-US6T2F switch requires a power supply voltage of 24V (18-60V DC, 18-30V AC, 50-60 Hz), Class 2/SELV. Its current rating is 442 mA and its maximum power dissipation is 5.93 W. This switch’s continuous isolation voltage is 30V from the power to the network channels. The 1783-US6T2F has a basic insulation type type-tested at 500V AC for 60 seconds. There is no isolation between the individual network channels.
The 1783-US6T2F has an operating temperature of -40-158 ËšF and a storage temperature of -40-185 ËšF. The maximum surrounding air temperature is 70 ËšC and its non-condensing relative humidity is 5-95%. It has an operating shock of 15 g, non-operating shock of 30 g, and an operating vibration of 2 g at 10-150 Hz.
