The Allen-Bradley 6189-RPRH is a VersaView CE logic module. It has been discontinued by the company and replaced by the new 2711P-RP6 PanelView Plus CE logic module. It is an intelligent controller that automates machine processes and does not require any user intervention. With a modern, cost-effective, and flexible design, it is perfect for industrial use in complex or simple installations. It is compatible with all VersaView and PanelView Plus CE terminals. The 6189-RPRH module requires 24V DC 70W input power. For storage, it has 128 MB of RAM and a 2711P-RW2 internal CompactFlash module containing 128 MB of user memory. All VersaView devices have now been discontinued and renamed by the Allen-Bradley company to be a part of the PanelView Plus product family. It is intended for use in a clean and dry Overvoltage Category II Standard Environment with a 0 - 55 °. Celsius (32 - 131 Deg. Fahrenheit) operating temperature, a 30g operating shock, and a 5 - 90% noncondensing relative humidity.

Additionally, it house the memory areas of any VersaView terminal. This particular logic has 128 Random Access Memory (RAM), which is utilized by the terminal when runtime environment is launched. It is also installed with a 128MB Flash memory that serves as the terminal’s non-volatile memory which may be used to save the terminal’s system files such as manuals, recipes, reports, trends, alarms and HMI application file.

The 6189-RPRH hosts the power input terminals as well as the dual USB connection ports wherein external peripherals may be connected such as a mouse, keyboard and printer even a Flash drive for external storage option. It also has a single 9-Pin Sub-D male RS232 interface for connecting with controllers that supports DF1 protocol. It also comes with a single Ethernet communication interface that supports 10/100 Mbps communication speed, allowing any VersaView CE terminal to communicate with ethernet enabled devices.

The 6189-RPRH is powered by an external supply voltage range of 18-32VDC, with nominal supply of 24VDC and power consumption of 70W.
