The Allen-Bradley 1403-BA Power Monitor Lithium Battery is a backup lithium power battery for the Allen-Bradley Power Monitor II installed on the rear end of the master module and it provides backup power for the master module. The 1403-BA is a non-rechargeable 3.0 Volt battery, which must be replaced from time to time, and it is made of lithium cells packed together. This Sanyo-made battery provides a nominal output voltage of 3.0 Volts DC, with a nominal power capacity of 1.2 Amps per hour, and it has approximate packaging dimensions of 17 by 35 millimeters.

The 1403-BA backs up data on the master module, and the real-time clock on the master module is also backed by the lithium battery. This lithium battery backs up the power monitor master module for a stipulated time of 10 calendar years. The 1403-BA is installed on the master module by removing the closure plate on the master module and pulling the pulling the retaining tab to expose the battery holder. The battery is installed with the right polarity over the battery flap on the master module, and it is held tightly in place by the battery holder. To remove or replace the lithium battery, the closure plate on the master module is removed, and the battery is removed in the reverse order of the installation process.
