The 1403-LM05B is a Limited Metering Powermonitor II module from Allen-Bradley. The drive is used in automation systems to measure and calculate power parameters. The 1403-LM05B has a normal measured current of 5 Amps, a measured voltage of between 120 and 347 volts L-N and 2018 to 6000 volts L-L. The 1403-LM05B, as with other Limited Metering Powermonitor II modules (including the Allen-Bradley 1403-LM05A, 1403-LM01A, and the 1403-LM01B), the 1403-LM05B operates in both AC and DC voltages where it accommodates a 24 Volts AC voltage at a frequency of 50/60 hertz or at a voltage of 24 to 48 Volts DC.
As with the power monitors in the Bulletin 1400 series, the 1403-LM05B has an onboard microprocessor which controls the whole module. This renders it usable as a component in an elaborate monitoring network or as a stand-alone power monitor. Additionally, modules in the Bulletin 1400 series, including the 1403-LM05B, have CSA, UL, and CE approvals. They also follow the CSA 61010-1, EN 50081-2, and EN 50082-2 standards, among others. For the optimal performance of the 1403-LM05B, it should be operated within a temperature of between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius and a humidity of between 5 and 95% without condensation. When not in operation, the 1403-LM05B should be stored at a temperature range of -30 degrees Celsius and 70 degrees Celsius. The communication architecture for the 1403-LM05B Powermonitor II module has a fiber optic option which can be used to connect a maximum of three display modules together. The display modules are used to prepare the 1403-LM05B for operation. The 1403-LM05B, as with other modules with the 1403-LM family, has a +/-0.1 normal fixed accuracy and a 90 milliseconds fixed update rate.
