The 1403-MM05A is a Power Monitor II Series Master Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The 1403-MM05A comes with a microprocessor-based digital instrument that helps in integrating various parameters into industrial and commercial automation systems. The 1403-MM05A comes with onboard microprocessors with advanced field configuration communication interfaces. These allow the 1403-MM05A to act as either a standalone monitoring device or a control device. Therefore, the 1403-MM05A can be used in any large energy monitoring network. The 1403-MM05A supports a nominal measured current of 5 Amps and a measured voltage of 120 Volts to 347 Volts L-N (208 Volts to 600 Volts L-L). The 1403-MM05A’s power supply rating is 120 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz or 125 to 250 Volts DC. The 1403-MM05A has a smart communications card that provides it with two active ports for communication. The ports take the Allen-Bradley PLC RI/O network while the other port takes Allen-Bradley DF-1 Protocol. In addition, the 1403-MM05A has Ethernet communication cards. These provide it with two communication ports that use 10BaseT and 10Base5 Ethernet ports and an RS-232 Configuration Port. The single and dual-port high-speed communication modules cover a variety of networks. The Ethernet Communication Card makes the 1403-MM05A a TCP/IP compatible master module. In addition, it supports downloadable flash firmware upgrade.
The 1403-MM05A meets the IEEE 519 power quality pass standards and it can be used globally. In addition, the 1403-MM05A Master Module accepts up to three display modules. When it comes to the voltage inputs, the 1403-MM05A supports nominal full-scale input of 120 Volts to 347 Volts and the input impedance is 1M ohm minimum. The 1403-MM05A control relay ratings are a maximum resistive load switching of 10 Amps at 250 Volts. This translates to 2500 Volts AC. On the other side, the minimum Load Switching is 10 Amps at 24 Volts. For the DC rating, the maximum resistive load switching is 10 Amps at 30 Volts and 0.25 Amps at 250 Volts.
