The Allen Bradley-Rockwell Automation 1403-NDNET DeviceNet Card is used to establish a connection to PLC-5 or SLC 500 processors through DeviceNet functionality and it serves as an accessory device for the Powermonitor II Master Module. The 1403-NDNET is part of the Bulletin 1403 and it is controlled by a microprocessor. This module has a dual port for achieving DeviceNet communication. The DeviceNet port provides a way to configure the Master Module of the Powermonitor II without using the Display Module and there is no need for an additional configuration of hardware jumpers when the card is installed. The user has two configurable assemblies with up to 1075 parameters at hand in order to customize the device according to his needs and requirements. Also, the module can retrieve information about power in real-time in only 33 milliseconds. The 1403-NDNET allows custom data tables, peer-to-peer communications through Explicit Server Messaging, special diagnostic functions in real-time, remote setup functions and many other features which could be helpful.
The 1403-NDNET DeviceNet card is supplied by a nominal power source of 120 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz or 125 to 250 Volts DC. The card’s maximum voltage inputs include 347 Volts for line-neutral and 600 Volts for line-line. In addition to that, analog input of the communication card is within a range of 0 to 1 Volts AC/DC and its nominal current input is at 5 Amps. Besides that, it is important to mention relay contact ratings of the 1403-NDNET DeviceNet card, including a resistive rating of 10 Amps/250 Volts AC/30 Volts DC or 0.25 Amps/250 Volts DC, and an inductive rating of 240 Volts AC/3600 Volt-ampere Make/360 Volt-ampere Break.
