The 2706-B23C8 terminal is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation display terminal from the Dataliner DL40 series. It is used to display a variety of application-related messages in industrial environments and its screen is designed to be visible from as much as 25 feet away. The Allen-Bradley 2706-B23C8 Data Liner is an ideal device for communicating over large factory spaces. It can display up to 20 characters at a time in green, red, or amber. Its display size is 14.4 x 14.4in. and its RAM capacity is 8KB. The 2706-B23C8 runs on 120V AC input power for smooth communication. Its RS-232 and RS-422 parallel communication ports provide the user with the opportunity to connect two different devices to the 2706-B23C8. The factory-wide display is enhanced by the device’s hardware and customization options. The 2706-B23C8 is a new member of Allen-Bradley’s Dl5, Dl10, Dl20, Dl30, Dl40, Dl4-P and DL50 series of Data Liners. The 2706-B23C8 can display messages with English, International, or Cyrillic characters, its real-time clock has the complete year 2000 compliance, and it is capable of direct connection to the Channel 0 ports of PLC and SLC devices. The 2706-B23C8 is popular because its display has clear visibility from a maximum distance of about 240 feet. Furthermore, its alarm system can be heard throughout an entire factory.
