The Allen-Bradley 2706-B23J8 Data Liner messaging device can display 2 lines with up to 20 characters each in red, amber, or green on its Vacuum Fluorescent Display screen. The Data Liner features 8KB of RAM and it runs 100-240V AC input power. The 2706-B23J8’s Vacuum Fluorescent Display screen measures 14.4 x 14.4 in. and it is readable from up to 240 feet away. The communication ports of the 2706-B23J8 messaging display unit are the ASCII input with RS-422 and RS-232 ports that enable the smooth transfer and decoding of data. The 2706-B23J8 comes with all the standard features of other messaging devices in the DL5, DL10, DL20, DL30, DL40, DL40P and DL50 series by Allen-Bradley. Additional features of the 2706-B23J8 include a 128 KB user memory, point-to-point slave unit communications through the RS-232 port, offline programming, and an adjustable brightness from 0-100% for the Vacuum Fluorescent Display. To make installation easier, the size and weight of the 2706-B23J8 have been reduced from that of previous Allen-Bradley messaging devices. Its panel depth is 3 inches rather than 4.5 inches and it weighs 3.7 lbs instead of 7.3 lbs like the older models.
