The 2706-B43C16 DataLiner from Allen-Bradley is a quality product that allows for efficient messaging interface throughout the warehouse. Its Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) screen can show 4 lines of text with up to 20 characters per line in red, green, or amber.  The messages may be written in English, Cyrillic, or International characters and they are legible from up to 240 feet away. The 16 KB RAM of the 2706-B43C16 stores information that you can retrieve at any time.  The 85-264V AC input power allows consistent and effective power flow with low electricity consumption. The Dataliner is supported with an ASCII input along with RS-232 and RS-422 ports for connecting with the output or the main terminal device. Although the 2706-B43C16 no longer has EEPROM, an SB tape recorder, or a remote reset connection function, it comes with a variety of new and customizable features. Its new hardware includes a real-time clock with a replaceable battery, an adjustable brightness (0-100%) for the VFD, and a reduction in the module’s dimensions to make installation easier. The 2706-B43C16 is UL and cUL-certified and CE-marked for operation in the United States, Canada, and the European Union.
