The 2706-B43C31 Dataliner Message Display by Allen-Bradley provides the appropriate hardware for delivering messages to everyone on the factory floor. This messaging display has a Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) screen with 4 lines of text that display up to 20 characters each. People can read the message from up to 240 feet away. The message can be written with English, International, or Cyrillic characters and the characters can be written in red, amber, or green.
The 2706-B43C31 works on 85-264V AC input power and has a 31 KB RAM. The 2706-B43C31’s bright display has dimensions of 6.2 x 14.4 in. The enclosure of this Dataliner Message Display is NEMA type 12/13 and it features an ASCII input and RS-422 as well as RS-232 communication ports. The RS-232 port has an auto-wakeup feature for offline programming.
The 2706-B43C31’s additional software enhancement features include a 128 KB user application memory, point-to-point RS-232 slave communications, and 16 KB of data logging memory. Its hardware includes a brighter VFD, isolated I/O ports, and a reduction in weight and dimensions for easier installation. However, the 2706-B43C31 no longer supports EEPROM, tape recorder backup, or a normally-closed relay contact. It comes in a NEMA 12/13 enclosure.
