The 2706-E23C32 is an Allen-Bradley message display in the Dataliner DL40 series. Its screen is a VFD or Vacuum Fluorescent Display that measures 4.4 x 14.4 inches in area. This VFD has a two-line configuration that displays 2 lines of text and 20 characters on each line and has a parallel port. The display has 32 KB RAM and 85 - 265V AC input power. The 2706-E23C32 can receive slave addresses, message triggers, and variable data from a PLC or an SLC module. It has an RS-485 port for transferring files as well as an RS-232 port for file upload and download. The letters on its VFD are readable even at 25 feet away. The 2706-E23C32 can mount on a panel or in an enclosure with a NEMA Type 12,13 rating before being wired to the control system. The 2706-E23C32 display can handle embedded variables, message chaining, hidden messages, and data mode selection, among other functions.
