Its VFD or Vacuum Fluorescent Display screen measures 4.4 x 14.4 inches in area. Its 2-line configuration has remote I/O and the ability to display up to 20 characters on each line. It stores data in 32 KB of RAM and runs on 85 - 265V AC input power. The 2706-E23C32B1 is capable of 2-way communications with PLC and SLC devices. It can also communicate with an RS-485 port that handles file transfers and an RS-232 port designed for file upload and file download. The 2706-E23C32B1 is mounted in a panel or an enclosure with the NEMA Type 12,13 rating. The 2706-E23C32B1 message display terminal’s capabilities include embedded variables, data mode selection, and message chaining and hidden messages. It can also upload and download files via the DH+ link or the Ethernet link between a computer and the DL40 message terminal. The 2706-E23C32B1 creates backups and records the occurrence and sequence of the triggered messages. It has an onboard editor and an extended ASCII character set support.
