The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2706-LV2P terminal is an industrial message display terminal. It has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley as part of the Dataliner DL40 Plus series. The 2706-LV2P message display terminal can be used to replace several older message display terminals from the Allen-Bradley Dataliner DL40 series because it is an enhanced version of the older terminals that has several new features. Likewise, the 2706-LV2P message display terminal�s new hardware features include 128 KB of flash memory, an upgraded power supply, and reduced weight.

The Allen-Bradley 2706-LV2P is a PanelView DataLiner DL40 Plus message display module. It comes with a 2-line, 20-character vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) with a brightness that can be adjusted from 0 to 100% and has a height of 12.5 millimeters. It has an ASCII input type and comes with a 128 KB of RAM. A real-time, battery-backed clock that is fully compliant with the year 2000 is also present**.** The 2706-LV2P has an input power of 100 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz with an integral fuse installed. The entire display measures 45 x 15 x 15 centimeters and weighs around 2 kilograms or 3.7 pounds.

Features of the 2706-LV2P include RS-232 message triggering, RS-232 auto-wakeup for offline programming, concurrent RS-232 and RS-485 communications, direct connection to PLC and SLC Channel 0 ports, data logging memory, 3 character sets (Cyrillic, English, and International), and power fail recovery.
