The Allen-Bradley 2706-M1N1 is a MessageView interactive display terminal. It has a 16-key interface and remote I/O communication. This terminal can store up to 4000 message entries including stamp/time data and variability with its historical event stack memory. Users can view or sort it either chronologically or by the frequency of occurrence. Moreover, you can also export the data that has been collected by the 2706-M1N1 into several platforms. Compatible platforms that users can use to manage the data are Microsoft Access, Lotus, Microsoft Excel, and other Windows-based applications.
The MessageView 2706-M1N1 can be used in various devices including ASCII input devices, PLC/SLC controllers, and multiple MessageView terminals. This terminal has outstanding graphical specifications such as a 128 x 32 display resolution and characters display resolutions of 21 x 4; 10 x 2; and 7 x 1. The 2706-M1N1 terminal has a green LED to represent the COMM indicator while the red one represents the FAULT status indicator. You can also adjust the display’s brightness setting as desired. The 2706-M1N1 display provides eight brightness settings ranging from 12 to 100%.

The Allen Bradley MessageView displays are ideal for broadband communication over the factory and warehouse floor. These displays have a Vacuum Fluorescent display that feature 1, 2, or 4 lines of characters. Each terminal has a RS-232 port that allows for easy and adaptable communication. The terminals allow for program building through the Message Builder software. There are a variety of buttons that the user can use to input information into the MessageView. A unique feature of these terminals is the Historical Event Stack, which records messages with variable data that is embedded. That allows for the messages with certain attributes to be logged when they are triggered for easier searching and recording.
