The 2707-L40P2X interface module is an operator interface module that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley in the 2707 product line of the DTAM Plus Operator Interface Module Series. This operator interface module interacts with Allen-Bradley PLC and SLC controllers. The Allen-Bradley 2707-L40P2X DTAM operator interface module comes with a liquid crystal display screen with 4 lines and 20 characters of text display space. This display also has an LED backlight. Other parts that are included with the module are a real-time clock, a point-access and display function, and Remote I/O options. This module comes with a user manual, mounting nuts, European Type GMD fuses and holders, and a DIP Switch cover.

The front panel of the Allen-Bradley 2707-L40P2X DTAM operator interface module comes with three different LED indicators that show the status of operations and if the function key is active or not.  It also has communication ports and a power connector which is non-removable. On its back, it has a 6-position DIP switch and fuses. This specific port comes with an RS-232/485 port and a printer. The Allen-Bradley 2707-L40P2X DTAM operator interface module enables the operators to modify or input new variables to the application process. This can be done through the screen and keypad provided by the module. This keypad provides different keys that are color-coded according to their functions. Navigation keys and operator response keys are blue, control display and format keys are dark gray, and numeric entry keys are light gray. This module has a memory capability of 40K that enables it to support at least 50 screens of data.
